Summer Greetings!

I'll bet you thought we had dropped off the face of the earth since I have not updated my part of the web site since early May.  This will be just a short update to let you know what is happening at Blessed Sacrament School.

Our school graduation for sixth grade was beautiful.  Our fifth grade parents worked so hard to make the reception a success.  Thanks to all of you who helped.

Our Track and Field Day was a BLAST!  The rainy weather held off and the kids had a wonderful time.  Thanks for P.A.T.T. for your great planning.  All of the parent volunteers were greatly appreciated.

I am in the process of moving to Jonesboro.  Horray!  However, the packing is wild.  I owe a special debt of graditude to all who have helped with boxes and packing materials (you know who you are).  My home phone will be disconnected beginning July 1st., so you will not be able to reach me there.  I will give my new number as soon as I have one.  Until that time, you can call and leave me a message at school.  I usually check in and work almost every day.  I will not work the week of June 29th through July 3rd since that is the week I am moving.  I will however check my e-mail and phone messages as frequently as I can.

I am sorry to say that Kelly King has elected not to return to Blessed Sacrament School.  We wish her well in all future endevors.  Ms. Holly Taylor will be moving upstairs to teach 4th, 5th, and 6th grade language arts and be our sixth grade homeroom teacher.  I am in the process of interviewing candidates for the 2nd grade position.  We have several very good candidates.  Also, Mrs. Nickel will not return.  I know we all wish her well in her new career as a student in cosmetology school.  Our new administrative assistant will be Mrs. Jennifer Steimel.  Please wish her well and be patient if both of us have to look for things.

Mrs. Tiffany Gibson will move downstairs next year in order to accomodate a student that will be wheelchair bound for at least part of the year.  Second grade students will be moved upstairs for this year only.  It is easier to move a new teacher than one of our more established teachers (think of all the stuff).  I really appreciate Mrs. Gibson being so kind and agreeing to move.  I may be calling some of you for a moving party since lots of hands will make the move faster.

Be watching your mail for information about the starting of school.  These letters should go out during the end of July.

Have a wonderful rest of the summer.  I will update the principal's web site as soon as I have my new phone number.
